Water Outage Update and Information

Late yesterday, residents in the Town of Biltmore Forest began experiencing decreases in water pressure or complete loss of water pressure. This is due to significant water distribution problems within the City of Asheville water system resulting from the record low temperatures over the weekend. The Town purchases all water from the City of Asheville which has resulted in this loss for our residents. A significant portion of South Asheville and southern Buncombe County are also without water service at this time.

The Town has been in touch with Asheville Water Resources and their crews modified a valve late last night to increase pressure to the Town and other areas north of the Blue Ridge Parkway. As of the morning of 12/27/22, there are still significant outages throughout the Town, including the Police Department, Public Works Department, and Town Hall. We have not received an estimated time of service restoration from the City as of this writing and just issued a boil water advisory following on Asheville’s BWA issued late last night. For those with water, we ask that you conserve as much as possible and for those without water, we appreciate your patience as we continue to await these repairs from the City of Asheville. Once an ETA for restoration is provided, we will update this website with that information.
