Two Upcoming Public Meetings
The Town has two upcoming opportunities for public feedback and we want you to join us. The first public meeting will be held at the Town Hall on Tuesday, December 4th from 10am-11:30 am. This meeting is to receive public feedback on citizen experiences with existing high speed, broadband internet service in the Town. An internet service provider that is evaluating our area will be on hand to gather feedback and see if there are unmet needs in the Town.
The second public meeting is for citizens to receive information on boxwood blight and other plant diseases. The Town is hosting the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service next Tuesday, December 11th, from 6:00-7:00 p.m at the Town Hall. Extension service biologists and personnel will be on hand to review boxwood blight and its impact on the area, as well as information related to handling the disposal or containment of this pathogen. Landscapers are encouraged and invited to attend as well.
