Weekly Biltmore Forest Updates

Town Hall:

  • Friends of Biltmore Forest Meeting will be taking place Monday, September 11th at 9:30am
  • The Board of Commissioners will be meeting on Tuesday, September 12th at 4:30pm
  • Upcoming Club Events:
    • Sunday Stretch Class will be taking place at Town Hall on Sunday, September 10th

Police Department:

  • We launched the new License Plate Reader Cameras and Vanderbilt Rd and Valley Springs Rd

Public Works:

  • Collect garbage and recycling
  • Mow and string trim
    • Road Shoulders, Greenwood Park, Lower Vanderbilt Park, Brookside Park/Hemlock Pond, Town Hall Complex
  • Utility locates
  • Tree Assessments
  • Daily water chlorine tests
  • Service dog waste stations
  • Cleaned stump grindings from Lower Vanderbilt Park and Brookside Park
  • Re-wired replacement streetlight for 394 Vanderbilt
  • Road striping contractor continued work on Browntown Road.  Work will continue in two weeks
  • Painting of Town Hall exterior continued this week
  • Continued South brush route pick-up; will conclude next week
  • Arborist attended one-day Tree Conference in Cary, NC
