Weekly Biltmore Forest Updates

Town Hall Updates: 

  • Town Hall will be closed Monday, September 4th in observance of Labor Day. Normal hours will resume Tuesday, September 5th. 
  • The Town will have a Special Call Meeting on Tuesday, September 5th at 4:30 p.m.
    • The purpose of this meeting is to consider the selection of an architectural firm for the master facility planning process. 
  • Club Events
    • Sunday Stretch Class will be moved from Sunday, September 3rd to Sunday, September, 10th to accommodate the holiday weekend

Public Works Department Updates: 

  • Public Works will be closed Monday, September 4th in observance of Labor Day. Normal hours will resume Tuesday, September 5th. 
  • Collect garbage and recycling
  • Mow and string trim
    • Road Shoulders, Greenwood Park, Lower Vanderbilt Park, Brookside Park, Busbee Triangle, & Town Hall Complex
  • Tree Assessments
  • Daily water chlorine tests
  • Cleared segments of the following road shoulders:
    • Hilltop Rd
    • Forest Rd
  • Service dog waste stations
  • Removed large, downed tree from roadway at the intersection of Park/Vanderbilt/E. Forest roads
  • Assembled replacement streetlight for 394 Vanderbilt Rd
  • Had brush truck repaired and bought new tires
  • Contractor began work on annual road striping contract
  • Painting of exterior of Town Hall began
  • Completed Local Government Annual Solid Waste Report as required by the State
  • Serviced all riding lawn mowers
  • Began South brush route
