Happenings in the Forest - 3/11/24

Happy Monday! Here is what has been going on in the Town this past week. 

Town Hall

  • There is a Board of Commissioners meeting with a special call meeting happening on Tuesday, March 12th at 3:30pm. The normally scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting will take place immediately after the conclusion of the special call meeting.
  • There will be a Blood Drive event being held at Town Hall on Wednesday, May 22nd from 2pm-7pm.

Public Works

  • Collect garbage and recycling
  • Utility locates
  • Tree assessments
  • Daily water chlorine tests
  • Collect monthly bacteriological sample
  • Service dog waste stations
  • Brookside Park trail building project continues
  • Prepare Greenwood Park for spring, remove rocks and seed
  • Remove sticks and leaves at Brookside Park
  • Begin brush route on south side of town
  • Overseed and fertilize hemlock pond area
  • Prepare planting plan for Busbee triangle
  • Installed concrete forms in Greenwood park for benches and tables
  • Share
